of internal water meters"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3 data-start=\"0\" data-end=\"66\"><span style=\"color: #b80707;\">Installation of Internal Water Meters in Residential Buildings<\/span><\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"68\" data-end=\"411\">In accordance with the provisions of the General Terms and Conditions for the Supply of Water Services,<strong> the installation of internal water meters in existing (older) buildings is not carried out by Vodoopskrba i odvodnja d.o.o.,<\/strong> but is entrusted to <strong>private authorised contractors<\/strong> selected by the co-owners of the building on the open market.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"413\" data-end=\"728\"><strong>Readings of internal water<\/strong> meters are generally <strong>performed remotely.<\/strong> If the building does not have a main water meter that supports this method of reading, <strong>Vodoopskrba i odvodnja d.o.o. <\/strong>may \u2013 at the request of the co-owners \u2013 <strong>replace the existing main water meter<\/strong> with a suitable device adapted for remote reading.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"730\" data-end=\"1253\">The service provider is obliged to replace the main water meter in residential buildings<strong> every five years.<\/strong> However, if the building wishes to have it replaced earlier in order to introduce pulse water meters in the apartments, t<strong>he representative of the co-owners must submit an official request<\/strong> to <em data-start=\"1028\" data-end=\"1059\">Vodoopskrba i odvodnja d.o.o.<\/em> for the installation of a main water meter compatible with remote reading.<br data-start=\"1134\" data-end=\"1137\" \/>If that meter is not due for regular replacement,<strong> the cost of replacement is borne by the co-owners of the building.<\/strong><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p data-start=\"1255\" data-end=\"1310\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong data-start=\"1255\" data-end=\"1310\">Obligations of Co-owners and Required Documentation<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1312\" data-end=\"1594\">In order for water consumption to be allocated according to the actual consumption in each apartment or commercial unit,<strong> the co-owners must conclude a co-ownership agreement<\/strong>, which must be approved by co-owners holding at least <strong>51%<\/strong> of the ownership shares.<br data-start=\"1568\" data-end=\"1571\" \/>This agreement defines:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li data-start=\"1598\" data-end=\"1687\">the method of allocating consumed water based on readings of the internal water meters,<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1690\" data-end=\"1816\"><strong>the selection of the contractor<\/strong> who will carry out the installation and maintenance of the meters and the reading equipment,<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1819\" data-end=\"2023\"><strong>the appointment of an authorised party<\/strong> who will perform the allocation of water (this may be the company that carried out the installation, the building manager, or the representative of the co-owners),<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2026\" data-end=\"2107\">the method of allocating water for units in which meters have not been installed.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"2109\" data-end=\"2144\">After installation, users conclude:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li data-start=\"2148\" data-end=\"2254\"><strong>a contract with the contractor<\/strong> for the installation and maintenance of the meters and reading equipment,<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2257\" data-end=\"2378\"><strong>a contract with the authorised party<\/strong> for the allocation of water based on readings of the main and internal water meters.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"2380\" data-end=\"2537\">It is sufficient for an internal meter to be installed in at least <strong>one unit (apartment or commercial space)<\/strong> for the allocation system to start being applied.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p data-start=\"2539\" data-end=\"2586\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong data-start=\"2539\" data-end=\"2586\">Allocation of Consumption and Data Delivery<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2588\" data-end=\"3007\"><strong>The authorised party for water<\/strong> allocation regularly reads the main and internal meters, prepares the allocation of consumption, and e<strong>lectronically submits the data to Vodoopskrba i odvodnja d.o.o. <\/strong>for the purpose of issuing invoices to all users.<br data-start=\"2836\" data-end=\"2839\" \/>It is important to note that <strong>a building may have only one authorised party,<\/strong> and the service provider will not take into account individual notifications from consumers.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"3009\" data-end=\"3081\">The representative of the co-owners or the authorised party must submit:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li data-start=\"3085\" data-end=\"3185\">a copy of the co-ownership agreement with a list of co-owners who have approved it (at least 51%),<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"3188\" data-end=\"3267\">copies of the contracts on installation, maintenance and allocation of water,<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"3270\" data-end=\"3311\">a table of ownership shares of all users.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<p data-start=\"3313\" data-end=\"3377\"><strong data-start=\"3313\" data-end=\"3377\">Submitting a Request for Replacement of the Main Water Meter<\/strong><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"3379\" data-end=\"3478\">The request for the installation of a main water meter with remote reading capability is submitted:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li data-start=\"3482\" data-end=\"3548\">by post:
